We had another fun filled weekend with friends at Boyne Highlands for the last skiing of the year. Friday night we ate/drank at BW3's while we watched MSU basketball win! Saturday was Ben's race day...we spent the day enjoying the awesome sun, tailgaiting, and watching the race. That night we cooked a delicious Mexican dinner, then headed to Odawa for some gambling and dancing! What a way to end the winter-or so we thought! We got up on Sunday morning to 6 inches of fresh snow.

Ben skiied for the 2nd year in a row on the Crystal Mountain Thursday night ski league (or better known as the "beer league"). Overall his team got 4th place while he got 2nd in the individual competition in the Platinum division. Our good friend MacKenzie, and Ben's teammate got first in the girls division. Good job Ben and Mac!

This last Saturday we went to our neighbors Brian & Katie's for a "fire up" party where we enjoyed bloody marys, mimosas, and lots of yummy food. Then we headed out to Timber Ridge for the 2nd annual Suds & Snow event...it was a great day to spend outside enjoying live music, Michigan brewed beer, local food, dancing, etc. with our friends. Fortunately the snow storm we got held out until Sunday and now, Monday morning, we're enjoying over a foot of new snow.

A few weekends ago Ben and I decided to take advantage of the sunny weather and go tubing at Mt. Holiday with some friends. It was my first experience tubing and it was a blast! We were able to race each other, spin down the hill, and go super fast. It was a great way to get out and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.

Ben and I enjoyed the fresh 12 inches of snow by taking Winston for a walk along the trails at the end of the peninsua. What a wonderful way to get out of the house and get some exercise.

Thanks to my friend Lindsay's sister and brother-in-law's company Porterhouse Productions, Traverse City has seen an influx of music for all to enjoy. Brett Dennan came to the Opera House and us girls went and enjoyed the music. We even got a shout out from the opening band and are featured on www.northernspin.com.
