STEELER GAME! (be prepared for lots of pictures)

We woke up at 7am for breakfast and beer. The first thing I did was finally perform my farkle!
Ben and I in our Steeler gear thanks to Rachel.

Rachel and I with Dad!

Me and Rachel-I love you Rach!

Rachel and Jeremy-such a cute photo and cute couple!

Jeremy, Ben, Dad, and Nick at the tailgate.

Rachel, Jeremy, Ben and I all ready for the game.

Dad and I in front of 1 of 6 Super Bowl trophies.

Inside the stadium as the teams warmed up. It ended up being a sunny, hot day for the game.

The crowd in black and gold, waving Terrible Towels.
Ben and I went to our first Steeler's game ever and it ended up being a great day. They played Minnesota which at the time was undefeated with Favre as the quarter back. Well after a great game and lots of good plays, Steelers won! It ended up being the biggest crowd ever at Heinz Field and you could tell by all the noise Steeler fans made after we won. Such a fun way to end a great visit to Pittsburgh.

PITTSBURGH

A late night hay ride at Aunt Carole's and Uncle Tommy's
Me and Lizzy-we kind of look alike!

At the family picnic on Saturday. My mom's sisters and brothers with Grandma-thanks for such a fun time Grandma and Aunt Carole!

We went on the Ducky Tour on Friday in downtown Pittsburgh. The car also was a boat-which of course both Rachel and I got to drive.

With the Quack hat!

A view of Heinz Field from the water.

And of course Rachel got a hat too!
Ben and I took a long weekend to go to Pittsburgh to visit my family. On Friday, my Grandma, Mom and Dad, and Rachel, and us went on the Ducky Tour in downtown. We learned lots of weird Pittsburgh facts; like Pittsburgh eats the most HO-HO's per capita in the nation! Saturday my Aunt Carole threw a family picnic at her house! We had great food and got to see so many family members that we haven't seen since our wedding. Thanks everyone for making it and to Aunt Carole for such a lovely time. The highlight of the trip though was going to our first Steeler game, look for pictures in the next blog.

Shooting Range and Wine-a perfect TC weekend

We went to a local shooting range for some gun shooting. Here is Ben shooting a 9mm.
Amanda and I still looking cute while shooting the 9mm and 22 caliber.

We also went wine tasting. Here is the view from Two Lads Winery. It was a beautiful fall day!

Enjoying great friends Michael and Amanda with a great day of wine tasting.
Our friends Amanda and Michael visited us for a warm October weekend so of course we had to do all things "Traverse City." We took them downtown, to the local shooting range which was first for all of us, and wine tasting on Old Mission. After a long day we enjoyed dinner at Stella's.

Molly, the beatiful bride.

Mr. and Mrs. Eric and Molly Kerby
Oct 10, 2009 we celebrated Molly and Eric's wedding at Elberta Life Saving Station near Frankfort. It was such a gorgeous venue for such a beatiful couple. I feel so fortunate to be a part of their special day and celebrate with them. Everything turned out perfectly even though the weather wasn't too warm, as evidence by the coats and scarfs we wore. We stayed warm though by dancing and celebrating with friends. Congratulations to the new husband and wife!

MSU Football Weekend

We started tailgating at 7am! Had eggs, pancakes, sausage and of course bloody marys, mimosas, and beer.
The girls.
Ben and I-he is a MSU fan by default.

Laura and I at the game. One minute it was pouring rain the next it was super hot and sunny.

Spartan Stadium-MSU 26 vs MI 20. WE WON!
Ben and I went to our second MSU game of the year, this time against arch rivals U of M. A group of us from TC traveled down to East Lansing to tailgate and attend the game. It was such a fun weekend especially since MSU won in overtime. Needless to say I am now just getting my voice back from yelling and cheering on the Spartans.

Ben's 29th Birthday

Celebrating with some friends
Happy Birthday Ben-I love you!

Ben's parents gave him an amazing piece of granite for our kitchen island. Above is the before...see below for middle and after.

Ben was so surprised by his gift from his family. Thank you Meg, Don, Nicole, and Savannah.

The finished product, painted black with decorative supports. It looks more amazing in person.
The last weekend we celebrated Ben's birthday. Friday I took him to our new favorite restaurant, the Cook's House and then met some friends for drinks. Saturday night we hung out with a bunch of friends for chili, bonfire and drinks-thanks for celebrating with us everyone. Then Sunday we had dinner with Ben's family. Happy 29th birthday. Next year we'll both be 30..YIKES!
